Job Description

Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: [Hisar]

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: HR Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department in daily administrative and HR operations at the steel factory. The role involves maintaining employee records, assisting in recruitment, handling payroll inputs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting employee welfare and engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

Assist in sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates for factory and office roles.

Coordinate interviews and maintain recruitment records.

Handle new employee documentation and conduct induction/orientation programs.

Attendance & Payroll Support

Maintain attendance and leave records of workers and staff.

Verify overtime sheets, shift schedules, and provide payroll inputs to accounts.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure proper documentation for statutory compliances (PF, ESIC, Factory Act, Labor Laws).

Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.

Assist in audits and inspections.

Employee Relations & Welfare

Support grievance handling and escalate issues to HR Manager.

Coordinate welfare activities, safety awareness, and training programs.

Maintain healthy relations between management and workers.

Training & Development

Track mandatory training programs (safety, compliance, skill development).

Maintain training records and feedback reports.

General HR Administration

Draft letters, circulars, and notices for employees.

Assist in disciplinary proceedings and performance review processes.

Prepare HR-related reports for management.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: Graduate in HR/Commerce/Management. MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years in HR role (manufacturing/steel/plant experience is a plus).

Skills:

Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with HRMS software & payroll processing.

Basic understanding of labor laws and statutory compliances.

Good communication (English & Hindi/local language).

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.

Salary Range: Based on experience & company standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
