Job Description

Key Responsibilities (Step-by-Step)

A. Pre-Shift Preparation

  • Attend shift briefings and understand room status, arrivals, departures, and VIPs.
  • Ensure proper grooming, uniform, and front desk readiness.
  • Check system updates, reservation details, and special guest requests.

B. Guest Check-In & Check-Out

  • Welcome guests warmly and verify booking details.
  • Complete check-in procedures including ID verification and registration.
  • Provide room information, hotel facilities details, and house rules.
  • Handle check-out procedures, billing, and feedback collection efficiently.

C. Reservations & Room Management

  • Handle walk-in, phone, email, and online reservations.
  • Update room status accurately in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Coordinate room allocation based on guest preferences and availability.
  • Manage early check-ins, late check-outs, and upgrades as per policy.

D. Guest Services & Support

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B for guest requirements.
  • Assist guests with local information, transport, and sightseeing details.
  • Ensure timely resolution of guest issues and service recovery.

E. Cashiering & Billing

  • Handle cash, card, and online payments accurately.
  • Prepare and verify guest bills, folios, and receipts.
  • Ensure proper posting of room charges and additional services.
  • Follow hotel financial policies and audit procedures.

F. Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain clear communication with Housekeeping regarding room readiness.
  • Coordinate with Bell Desk, Valet, and Security for guest movement.
  • Handover shift details clearly to the next shift associate.
  • Report incidents, complaints, or irregularities to the Duty Manager.

G. Records & Documentation

  • Maintain guest records, registration cards, and logbooks accurately.
  • Update daily arrival, departure, and occupancy reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information at all times.

H. Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Follow hotel safety and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, police verification, and documentation norms.
  • Assist in emergency situations calmly and professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹28,814.65 per month
