Housekeeping Supervisor

• Operational Duties
• Supervise room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff during shifts

Staff Management

• Prepare duty rosters and assign daily work schedules
• Train housekeeping staff on SOPs, grooming standards, and use of chemicals/equipment
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline of staff
• Report staff performance issues or misconduct to the Housekeeping Manager
• Motivate staff to maintain service quality and efficiency

Inventory & Materials

• Monitor usage of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and issue of housekeeping materials
• Report shortages, damages, or losses of linen and equipment
• Coordinate with stores for timely requisitions

Guest Service

• Attend to guest complaints related to housekeeping and ensure quick resolution
• Handle lost and found items as per hotel policy
• Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and fire safety standards
• Ensure proper usage of cleaning chemicals and safety equipment
• Report maintenance issues to Engineering department
• Follow hotel policies, statutory norms, and SOPs

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum education: 10+2 / Diploma in Hotel Management (preferred)
• 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping operations
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and cleaning procedures
• Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure
• Ensure guest rooms, corridors, washrooms, and public areas are cleaned and maintained as per standards
• Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and safety hazards
• Ensure timely room readiness for check-in and turn-down services
• Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status and special guest requests
