Internal Coast Mountain College (CMTN), invites applications for an On-call Instructor(s) in the Health Care Assistant program as outlined below Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor Scale ranging from $36 46 to $47 15 per hour This position is well suited for an individual with a passion for caring for people in need of health care who is interested in sharing their skills and experience to influence the next generation of nurses and health care assistants CMTN is dedicated to employment equity and diversity by providing a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming It is our aim to reflect the diversity found in our unique region throughout CMTNs workforce Our team is committed to Indigenization, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Internationalization All qualified candi are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority Individuals who anticipate needing accommodations for any part of the application process, contact HR in confidence, prior to the closing Duties: This position will be responsible for contributing to the academic success of students by teaching the HCAP courses from the indicated campuses, in face-to-face and online settings This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction Qualifications Minimum qualifications require current registration as an LPN, RN, or RPN in British Columbia, along with a demonstrated experience in teaching adult learners This could include completion of a Provincial Instructors Diploma, equivalent education, or prior teaching roles supported by satisfactory references, positive evaluations, or student feedback Applicants must have at least 2 years of full-time nursing experience, with strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, healthcare team dynamics, and current policies across residential, acute care, and community settings Preferred experience includes working with older adults with complex health needs, as well as familiarity with home support, multi-level/complex care, and acute care environments The ideal candi will demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and proficiency with technology Additionally, strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills are essential Application information To apply for for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted Closing This competition will remain open until a suitable candi is selected Competition number 038B Job status Open Posting type Faculty Audience Open to both internal and external candi Department Health Care Assistant Campuses
