Location: Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat Experience Required: 5+ Years Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial / Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Officer to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs in Bhuj, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in industrial safety, with a strong understanding of local regulations and a proactive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities Policy Development & Compliance: Formulate and enforce safety policies in line with ISO 45001 and Gujarat Factory Rules 1963. Ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations. Risk Assessment & Audits: Conduct regular hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA). Perform safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Training & Awareness: Organize safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills. Provide training on the use of PPE, fire safety, and first aid. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents and near-misses. Prepare detailed reports and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Coordinate with local authorities for emergency drills and preparedness. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies. Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a safety-first culture through campaigns, competitions, and regular safety meetings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Diploma in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable. Skills & Competencies Have a knowledge of Gujarat Factory Rules 1963 and ISO 45001 standards. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs. Preferred Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial safety roles, preferably in manufacturing or construction sectors. Experience in handling hazardous materials and implementing environmental safety measures. Work Location On-site in Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat.
