Health and Safety Officer

As a Hazard Assessment and Risk Management professional, your role will involve developing and implementing policies, conducting training sessions, performing site inspections and audits, managing incidents and investigations, ensuring environmental compliance, documenting findings, and effectively communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement policies related to health, safety, and environmental management - Conduct training sessions to raise awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols - Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks - Manage incidents and conduct thorough investigations to prevent future occurrences - Ensure environmental compliance with regulations and company standards - Document all findings and prepare detailed reports for further analysis - Communicate effectively with diverse teams and coordinate safety measures accordingly Qualifications Required: - Significant experience (often 5-10+ years, with some in a supervisory role) in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably within the energy, oil and gas, or construction industries. Experience in seismic operations specifically is a strong preference. - A bachelor's degree in an HSE-related field is often required. Valued certifications include NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional). - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential for identifying risks, communicating effectively with diverse teams, and enforcing safety protocols. - The role requires frequent travel to field sites and the ability to work in varied and potentially hazardous environments. In this role, you will be expected to work full-time on a contract basis for a period of 10 months. The work location will be in person, requiring your physical presence at various field sites.
