Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

1. Plant Operations & Production Management

Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and dispatch.
Plan and execute production as per monthly and annual targets.
Ensure optimal utilization of men, machines, and materials.
Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), yield, cycle times, and process parameters.

2. Aluminium Pressure Die Casting Operations

Manage HPDC / LPDC / gravity die casting processes, tool maintenance, and die trials.
Drive improvements in casting quality, reduce rejections, and optimize machine performance.
Coordinate with tool room and maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

3. Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure adherence to quality standards (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).
Lead problem-solving through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and other process improvement initiatives.

4. Cost & Resource Management

Control manufacturing costs and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
Optimize manpower planning, energy consumption, and material wastage.
Prepare and manage plant budgets and CAPEX/OPEX plans.

5. People Leadership & Team Management

Lead and develop cross-functional teams Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and HR.
Ensure a culture of safety, accountability, and performance excellence.
Conduct performance appraisals and mentor key talent.

Preferred candidate profile:

B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical/ Production / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering.
20+ years of experience in manufacturing, with minimum 10 years in a leadership / plant head role.
Must have experience in
multi-plant operations and P&L Management.
Experience in Aluminium Die Casting / Auto Ancillary Preferred.
