Head of Project Finance

Role Overview

The General Manager – Project Finance will be responsible for leading the entire finance function for projects team, with a strong focus on cost control, commercial governance, and financial planning. This role will closely partner with the Project Commercials team to ensure robust financial oversight on BOQs, tendering, and negotiations, while directly reporting to the Director of Asset Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project finance for all projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring of project cash flows.
• Review BOQs and validate costing, estimates, and financial assumptions.
• Support the tendering process, ensuring commercial and financial terms are thoroughly assessed.
• Manage end to end financial health of the projects as per business plans.
• Actively participate in contract negotiations, driving favorable financial and commercial outcomes.
• Establish and monitor cost control measures to prevent overruns and ensure project profitability.
• Provide financial insights and governance to support project decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the project commercial team to integrate finance and commercial strategies effectively.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in project finance, commercial contracts, and cost management.
• Proven experience in reviewing BOQs, tenders, and negotiation of commercial terms.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to provide financial insights for project strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
• Minimum 15+ years of experience
• Qualified Chartered Accountant
