Description
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for aqua feed manufacturing plants, covering Production, Stores, Warehousing, and Logistics. Your responsibilities will include ensuring end-to-end operational efficiency, high-quality output, compliance, and seamless supply chain execution to enable business growth and customer satisfaction. - Lead daily operations across all plants with a focus on productivity, efficiency, and quality. - Ensure continuous improvements in capacity utilization, process automation, and lean manufacturing. - Monitor production KPIs such as OEE, yield, downtime, wastage, and cost per MT. - Ensure strict adherence to statutory quality norms and drive a zero-defect culture across plants. - Oversee raw material stores, finished goods warehouses, and spare parts management. - Implement strong inventory control systems with optimal stock levels and leverage ERP systems for real-time visibility of stock movement. - Manage inbound logistics of raw materials and outbound distribution of finished products. - Negotiate contracts with transporters, third-party logistics providers, and warehouse partners if needed. - Collaborate with procurement for timely sourcing of raw materials and work with sales & demand planning to align production schedules with market demand. - Lead, mentor, and build capability in production, stores, and logistics teams. - Implement performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and foster collaboration between plant teams and central functions. - Own P&L accountability for operations and drive cost optimization through various initiatives. - Ensure 100% compliance with HSE regulations and promote sustainability initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering. - 15-20 years of experience in the feed/food/agri industry with at least 5+ years in multi-plant operations leadership. - Proven exposure to plant operations, stores, and logistics management. Key Skills & Competencies: - Strong leadership in managing end-to-end operations. - Expertise in inventory management, distribution planning, and cost control. - Knowledge of aqua feed industry standards and practices is preferable. - High-level problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
