Job Description

Head of Maintenance (GM Level) Fertilizer Plant

Role Overview:

Head of Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Lead maintenance strategy for
ammonia, urea, utilities, and offsite units
Drive preventive, predictive, and turnaround maintenance for continuous process plants
Ensure high availability and reliability of
rotating & static equipment
(compressors, turbines, reactors, exchangers, pumps)
Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & automation maintenance functions
Lead major shutdowns, revamps, and capacity enhancement projects
Implement best practices in
TPM, RCM, RBI, RCA
and condition monitoring
Ensure compliance with
process safety, statutory, and environmental norms
Manage large in-house teams, contractors, maintenance budgets, and critical spares

Candidate Profile:

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or Chemical)
25+ years
of maintenance experience in
fertilizer or large chemical plants
Proven experience at
GM / Head of Maintenance
level in continuous process operations
Strong leadership, shutdown management, and reliability engineering expertise
