Head of Finance & Accounts

Note - The job is at Bibinagar location(around 1 hour from Hyderabad).

Role & responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and inventory accounting.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of books of accounts, financial statements, and reconciliations in line with Ind-AS.
• Oversee statutory compliance GST, TDS, Income Tax, Customs/Export compliance, PF/ESI, and Companies Act.
• Ensure timely reconciliations with vendors, customers, intercompany, and banks.
• Manage statutory, internal, and cost audits; ensure zero non-compliance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and review MIS, dashboards, and financial statements with variance analysis.
• Provide insights into cost, profitability, working capital, and productivity KPIs.
• Support consolidation of Unit II financials with Group-level reporting.

Banking, Treasury & External Liaison

• Act as primary liaison with banks and financial institutions for working capital, trade finance, and plant-related facilities.
• Manage and monitor Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and other credit instruments.
• Ensure timely submission of CMA data, project reports, and banking documentation.
• Negotiate banking terms for limits, interest rates, and credit facilities.
• Monitor fund flow and ensure optimal utilisation of limits for imports/exports.

Exports & Trade Finance

• Oversee export invoicing, documentation, realisation of export proceeds, and RBI/EXIM compliance.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, and DGFT regulations related to exports.
• Coordinate with customs, logistics, and shipping partners for timely clearances and financial documentation.

Budgeting, Costing & Working Capital

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monitor plant-level financial performance.
• Implement strong cost accounting practices material consumption, wastage, machine utilisation, and job costing.
• Drive cost control initiatives across procurement, production, and logistics.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory to optimise working capital cycles.

Systems, Controls & Risk Management

• Drive ERP-based finance and accounting processes with strong data integrity.
• Strengthen internal controls and SOPs to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Implement financial discipline and risk management practices for trade, forex, and compliance.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team at Unit II.
• Collaborate with plant leadership, operations, procurement, and supply chain to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Represent Finance & Accounts in management reviews, audits, and strategic discussions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA)
• Experience: 8-12 years in Finance & Accounts, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing/export-oriented industry (packaging/manufacturing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Taxation, Export/Import compliance, FEMA, and GST.
• Proven experience in handling LC, BG, trade finance, and banking liaison.
• Expertise in cost accounting, working capital management, and plant finance.
• Hands-on ERP experience
