As we prepare to go to market, we’re looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead the technology function, shape the architecture, and scale our engineering efforts. CoinCROWD also offers CROWD Markets for real-time crypto market trends and CROWD Buzz for curated news on cryptocurrencies, DeFi, and meme coins. We aim to make crypto accessible and easy for everyone. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Head of Engineering at CoinCROWD. The Head of Engineering will oversee and lead the engineering team, manage engineering projects, and drive software development efforts. Responsibilities include team management, ensuring project deadlines are met, and maintaining high-quality standards in code and architecture. Collaboration with other departments to align engineering goals with business objectives is also a crucial part of the role. What you'll do Set the Tech Vision: Define the company’s technology roadmap and architecture aligned with our business goals. Build the Coin: Lead the technical development of our crypto coin, including blockchain protocol selection, consensus mechanisms, and tokenomics implementation. Develop the Ecosystem: Oversee the creation of associated products such as wallets, explorers, staking platforms, smart contracts, APIs, and dApps. Assemble the Team: Hire, mentor, and lead a world-class team of engineers, blockchain developers, and DevOps professionals. Security & Compliance: Ensure that all systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with relevant crypto and data protection regulations. Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with Founders, Product, Legal, and Community teams to drive product innovation and go-to-market strategies. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with advancements in blockchain and Web3 technologies, integrating relevant innovations into our platform. Qualifications Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as a Senior Engineering Manager, CTO, Head of Engineering, or a Lead Blockchain Architect. Deep hands-on experience with blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, or others), smart contracts, and tokenomics. Strong programming background in Solidity, Rust, Go, or similar languages used in blockchain development. Demonstrated success in scaling products from 0-1 in a fast-paced startup environment. Expertise in system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps. Strong understanding of security best practices in crypto ecosystems. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science engineering, or related field. Nice to Have Prior experience launching a Layer 1 or Layer 2 protocol. Familiarity with DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, or decentralized identity. Experience in open-source communities and Web3 ecosystems. Previous startup or founder experience.
