Head of Department (HOD) – Engineering

Job Title: Head of Department – Engineering (Pharmaceutical Industry)

Qualification: B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication or Mechatronics
Experience: 15–20 years in engineering (preferably in pharma or regulated industries)
Certification: Project Management Certification

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Engineering Head to lead our engineering department in a pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, project planning experience, and excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance related to pharma manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team in maintaining and upgrading pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utilities.
• Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects including plant expansions, new equipment installation, and facility modifications.
• Ensure strict compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (GMP, FDA, MHRA, etc.).
• Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment, HVAC, water systems, and cleanrooms.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and validation teams.
• Manage engineering documentation, calibration, and qualification activities.
• Prepare and control budgets, timelines, and project resources.
• Drive continuous improvement and energy efficiency in plant operations.
