Role Overview
As the Head of Deliveries, you will provide leadership, governance, and direction to all project management teams across the organization. You will be accountable for end-to-end project execution—from initiation and planning to delivery, support, and closure. You will partner closely with internal teams, technology leaders, and external clients to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in alignment with business goals. A critical part of this role is to build trust with customers, drive operational rigor, and evolve the delivery framework to support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and scale the Project Management Office (PMO), establishing standardized methodologies, governance models, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects and programs, ensuring consistent execution across government, enterprise, and IT/digital initiatives.
- Serve as the senior-most escalation point for all delivery issues, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Drive digital project management best practices, including Agile, hybrid, and traditional methodologies suitable for varying project types.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government stakeholders, and enterprise clients, ensuring satisfaction and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Lead project managers, delivery managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with government project norms, procurement processes, contract requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, researching best practices, and implementing optimization strategies across service delivery functions.
- Collaborate closely with sales, technology, product, and operations teams to scope new engagements and oversee smooth project kick-offs.
- Track project performance metrics, delivery quality, resource utilization, and financial outcomes to ensure successful execution of all commitments.
- Mentor and guide teams through coaching, performance reviews, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Champion a customer-success mindset, ensuring successful delivery, service quality, and post-implementation support.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in Project Management, Software Project Management, Digital Project Management, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience in Project Delivery, Delivery Management, Service Delivery, and Program Delivery Management.
- Experience managing large-scale government projects, public-sector engagements, and multi-year program portfolios.
- Ability to lead complex IT and digital transformation projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong command over PMO operations, governance, planning, and execution excellence.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience
- 15-20 years of experience in project delivery, program management, and PMO leadership roles.
- Demonstrated track record of leading diverse project portfolios across government and IT domains.
