Head of Data Science

The ideal candidate for the role of VP Data Science should have a strong background in data analytics, business intelligence, and management. As a visionary leader, you will drive the Data and Analytics, BI function to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the development and implementation of machine learning predictive models, BI tools, and systems. Additionally, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for process improvements, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations will be essential in this position. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a Master's degree being preferred. Prior experience in business intelligence/data analytics and a leadership role is required. Proficiency in R/Python, Machine Learning, Databases, Dashboards, as well as a strong understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics, are necessary. Familiarity with BI tools and systems, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and presentation abilities are also essential. Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, SQL, and other database query languages is expected. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, strong project management skills, and knowledge of data governance and data privacy regulations are crucial. Experience in Banking and Financial services, particularly in predictive modeling of regulatory and non-regulatory credit risk domain, would be advantageous.
