Position Overview: Head-International Collaboration

Chitkara International School is seeking a passionate, strategic, and experienced Head of International Collaborations to lead our global education initiatives. This role is responsible for guiding students towards higher education opportunities abroad, building institutional partnerships, and expanding our global education footprint. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of international university systems, application procedures, and global career trends.

As the primary point of contact for all international academic engagements, the Head of International Collaborations will also oversee student counseling for overseas admissions, conduct awareness programs, and foster strong relationships with global institutions and education consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Counseling & Advisory

• Conduct personalized counseling sessions with students and parents to explore international education pathways.
• Guide students in identifying suitable countries, universities, courses, and career options aligned with their academic strengths and interests.
• Provide step-by-step support for international college applications including SOPs, essays, documentation, recommendation letters, and interviews.
• Offer insights on standardized testing requirements such as SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, etc., including test preparation timelines.

Strategic International Partnerships

• Develop and manage partnerships with foreign universities, embassies, education consultants, and international organizations.
• Coordinate visits from university representatives, education fairs, and virtual info sessions for students and parents.
• Identify collaborative opportunities such as student exchange programs, summer schools, and international internships.

Scholarships, Financial Aid & Visa Guidance

• Provide comprehensive support in identifying and applying for international scholarships and financial aid programs.
• Guide students through visa procedures and assist in documentation, interview preparation, and travel planning.

Institutional Development & Collaboration

• Collaborate with school leadership to design global career readiness initiatives and integrate them into the school’s academic framework.
• Maintain detailed records of international applications, acceptances, and student placements for analysis and improvement.
• Represent the school at international education conferences, forums, and networking events.

Workshops, Training & Global Awareness

• Organize seminars, orientation sessions, and workshops on international education trends, admission timelines, and country-specific guidance.
• Keep students and parents informed about changes in global education policies, visa updates, and admission guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in international student counseling or higher education consultancy.
• Ability to work with students from Grade 8–12 and their parents effectively.
• Deep understanding of international education systems (U.K, U.S, Canada, Australia, etc.)
• Experience in mentoring students from CBSE or similar Indian curricula towards global university admissions.
