Job Description

Position Summary

The role is responsible for providing leadership and end-to-end support across all functional areas of Human Resources, including recruitment, employee relations, labour relations, performance management, benefits, training, development, statutory compliance, and general administration. The position acts as both a strategic and operational HR business partner to the Factory Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Employee Relations

  • Deliver HR generalist support while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide employees on HR policies, benefits, and grievance resolution.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, selection, and onboarding.
  • Drive employee communication, engagement, and involvement initiatives.
  • Administer performance reviews, compensation processes, and HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and HR MIS (monthly, quarterly, yearly).

Industrial Relations & Compliance

  • Handle IR matters effectively and maintain harmonious labour relations in a unionized environment.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws; maintain strong relationships with government authorities.
  • Support worker compensation administration and coordinate plant safety programs.
  • Participate in grievance handling, investigations, and contract negotiations (where applicable).

Training & Development

  • Conduct and coordinate training programs as required.
  • Participate in talent management, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives.

General Administration

  • Oversee and supervise general administration activities at the plant level.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • MBA (HR) / MSW / MLW
  • Minimum

    10 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong expertise in Industrial Relations and managing unionized setups
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills
  • Hands-on experience in

    SAP and HRMS platforms

  • Experience in handling collective bargaining agreements, grievance management, and labour negotiations (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel minimally
