Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Oversee facility operations including housekeeping, patient support services, security, and building maintenance
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations related to hospital infrastructure, fire safety, and environmental standards (e.g., NABH, The Joint Commission, OSHA)
Plan, supervise, and audit preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response systems for buildings and critical equipment
Manage biomedical waste disposal, infection control, and building cleanliness according to hospital policies
Coordinate scheduling and management of subcontractors and vendors for facility-related services such as repairs, upgrades, and construction projects
Develop and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and resource utilization; maintain reports as required
Conduct facility audits and asset inventories, plan for short-term and long-term infrastructure needs, and lead construction or refurbishment projects
Supervise and train facilities staff, assess their performance through regular appraisals and skill development programs
Facilitate emergency drills and disaster preparedness activities in coordination with nursing and HR teams.
