Head – Corporate Relations & Placements

Location: Sricity Education Foundation, Sri city, Chennai.

Department: Corporate Relations & Career Services

Reports To: Vice Chancellor

The Head – Corporate Relations & Placements will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that strengthen industry engagement, drive student placements, and build long-term partnerships with corporates. This leadership role bridges academia and industry, ensuring students are well-positioned for internships, projects, and full-time employment.

·      Build, strengthen, and sustain relationships with corporates, startups, industry bodies, and alumni

·      Identify and onboard new industry partners across sectors for internships, placements, and academic

collaboration

·      Represent the institution at external events, industry forums, and career fairs

·      Lead and manage the end-to-end campus placement process

·      Create sector-wise and company-wise placement strategies aligned with market trends

·      Ensure high-quality internship and placement opportunities for all eligible students

·      Collaborate with faculty to align academic curriculum with industry requirements

·      Organize employability training programs, mock interviews, and workshops

·      Facilitate resume building, career counseling, and skill enhancement sessions

·      Maintain accurate and timely records of placements, offers, recruiter feedback, and salary trends

·      Prepare periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders (management, accreditation bodies, etc.)

·      Master’s degree (preferably MBA or PGDM) from a reputed institution

·      10–15 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, business development, or placements

·      Proven track record of successfully managing placement cycles and industry partnerships

·      Strong network across sectors: IT, Consulting, BFSI, FMCG, Manufacturing, Startups, etc.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

·      Strong leadership and team management abilities

·      Strategic thinking with execution orientation

·      High level of initiative, networking ability, and relationship management

·      Proficiency in using placement software/CRMs and MS Office tools

·      Prior experience in higher education / academic institutions

·      Exposure to global education systems and international placements (optional but advantageous)

·      A proactive and student-focused mindset
