Position Overview

The Director of the School of Computer Science & Engineering at Sricity Education Foundation, will be a pioneering academic and institutional leader responsible for building a forward-thinking, industry-aligned school that prepares students for real-world challenges in the technology sector. The Director will oversee academic vision, curriculum innovation, research, faculty recruitment, and deep integration of workplace-based learning models in line with SIU’s mission of bridging education with employability.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of academic excellence, research credibility, industry orientation, and a strong commitment to technology-enhanced, work-integrated education.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Strategy & Program Development

·      Design and launch undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and related fields.

·      Ensure all programs are aligned with industry demands and integrate classroom learning with long-term internships and real-world projects.

·      Champion interdisciplinary collaboration with other SIU schools (e.g., Business, Engineering, Logistics, etc.)

Technology Integration & Pedagogical Innovation

·      Lead the adoption of AI-driven learning platforms, cloud-based labs, and other digital tools to support personalised learning.

·      Implement new pedagogical approaches such as flipped classrooms, project-based learning, and competency-based assessments.

Faculty Development & Research

·      Recruit and develop a diverse team of faculty members with strong academic and industry backgrounds.

·      Foster a culture of applied research, innovation, and publication in high-impact journals.

·      Establish research centres of excellence in collaboration with industry partners.

Industry Collaboration & Outreach

·      Establish strong partnerships with leading IT/ITES, tech startups, R&D organizations, and multinational firms within and beyond Sri City.

·      Embed live industry problems, mentorships, hackathons, and internships into the academic ecosystem.

·      Collaborate with employers to ensure curriculum relevance and enhance graduate employability.

Student Experience & Career Outcomes

·      Ensure high-quality student learning experiences that promote creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

·      Guide career services and placement activities for students across tech domains.

·      Enable students to graduate with both academic credentials and professional work experience.

Governance & Administration

·      Oversee school-level budgeting, planning, academic operations, and faculty performance.

·      Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (AICTE, UGC, etc.).

·      Represent the school in internal governance committees and external academic forums.

Qualifications & Experience

·      PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or allied field from a reputed institution.

·      Minimum 15 years of combined academic and/or industry experience with at least 5 years in a senior academic leadership role.

·      Proven track record in academic administration, curriculum design, research leadership, and industry engagement.

·      Familiarity with NEP 2020 and modern trends in higher education and ed-tech.
