Job Description

Role & responsibilities: FSA coal allocation for 100% ACQ from nearest coal mines of WCL, SECL, NCL & MCL with least cost on landed basis. Transportation of Coal from various mines to plant. Coal procurement under SHAKTI scheme & Spot e-auctions at lowest cost as an when desired to meet the generation targets. Import Coal Procurement as per Blending Requirement as and when required. To maintain min. Plant Inventory of 1 Lac MT through the FY Ensure GCV Delivery at Top Band of the Mine Grade as per plant requirement. Coal Advances / Refunds / Working Capital Management Governance, Compliances & Audits relating Coal Function. Sustainability, Reliability & Occupational Safety Management relating Coal Transport management. Technical Competencies: Core knowledge & experience of Coal Planning & Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain management & Market Intelligence of Domestic & Imported Coal. Detailed understanding of Coal & Power Demand-Supply Scenario in India, Regulatory Policies & Guidelines from MoP, MoC, MoM, MOEF & CC, MoC, NGT, MoR & Rly Board, CEA, CERC, CIL/Subsidiaries & other relevant authorities Experience in Road/Rail/Multi-Modal Logistics & Supply Chain Management Working Capital, Cash Score & Coal Advance/Refunds management for overall Coal Spend Base, coal sale. Knowledge of SAP. Cross-Functional Competencies: Sound Understanding of the Power Plant & CHP (Coal Handling Plant) function. Working knowledge & understanding of Coal Mining Operations including Stripping ratio, OB handling, Mine Grade, EC etc. Working knowledge & understanding over crucial financial derivatives like EBITDA, Cash Score, FCF, Working Capital, LC/BG Credits, etc. Managerial Competencies: Strong Leadership & Team Building/Talent Development Adaptive to change & dynamic change-management Extreme Ownership, Accountability & Person of Integrity Effective Advocacy / Liaison skills with key stakeholders Strategic planning.
