Job Title: Head Chef – Continental Cuisine
Location: Indore,MP
Department: Continental
Reports To: F&B Director
Experience Required: 8–12 Years in Continental Cuisine
Salary: 65,000 - 75,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Chef – Continental Cuisine to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in European and international cooking techniques, menu creation, and kitchen leadership. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing the culinary staff, ensuring high food quality and consistency, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute innovative continental menus with seasonal variations.
  • Lead and train the kitchen brigade to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Supervise all cooking processes – sauces, grills, roasts, bakes, and cold dishes, ensuring authentic continental flavor profiles.
  • Collaborate with procurement and store teams to manage food inventory, wastage control, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with FSSAI and HACCP guidelines.
  • Conduct regular tasting sessions and kitchen audits to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth and timely order delivery.
  • Introduce new techniques and presentation styles aligned with global trends.
  • Handle kitchen budgeting, staffing schedules, and operational planning.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef specializing in Continental cuisine.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in French, Italian, Spanish, and Mediterranean cooking styles preferred.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and deliver consistent results.
  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution is a plus.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and modern cooking techniques.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced kitchen environment in a fine dining or premium casual dining setup. The role requires standing for long hours and multitasking during peak times.
