Job Description

Head Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all accounting operations of the institution
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and periodic financial reports
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, ledgers, and transaction records
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audits, and financial regulations
  • Monitor fee collections, payroll, vendor payments, and reimbursements
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and management teams
  • Implement financial controls, improve processes, and ensure transparency
  • Support management with financial planning and decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • 0- 5 years of experience in accounts management (educational sector preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Tally/ERP systems, and audits
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
