At GAVINS, tradition meets modern trends, and every outfit narrates its own unique story. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad for the Head Accountant role. The Head Accountant will oversee and manage the organization’s financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing detailed financial statements, and analyzing finances for potential areas of improvement. Additional duties include managing tax filings, liaising with auditors, and supervising the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely transactions. Qualifications Strong financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills Proficient in general accounting practices, including account reconciliation and ledger maintenance In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, audits, and compliance with Indian accounting standards Experience in preparing financial statements and generating insightful financial reports Ability to use accounting software proficiently and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or equivalent certification preferred) Proven work experience in a senior accounting role; experience in the fashion or retail industry is a plus
