Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Hardware and Networking Engineer to join our ITteam. This role is for a self motivated individual with a strong background in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will take ownership of hardware and networking projects, provide advanced technical support, and mentor junior team members. You will be a key contributor to the stability, security, and efficiency of our network and hardware environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management and Projects:Lead the planning, installation, and configuration of new hardware and networkingequipment (servers, switches, firewalls, thin clients etc.) on premise as well as in cloud.Manage and maintain existing network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance anduptimeCollaborate with senior IT leadership to design and implement infrastructure upgrades andnew technology rolloutsOversee IT asset management, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioningDeploy, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHubActions

Security And Compliance

Implement and enforce IT security policies and proceduresConduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments on hardware and networksystemsConfigure, manage, and troubleshoot firewallsEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Skills

In depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and technologies(VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching)Extensive experience with various operating systems, including Windows Server and desktopenvironmentsStrong analytical and advanced problem solving skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast pacedenvironmentExcellent communication and leadership skills, with a knack for mentoring others

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of hands--on experience in a hardware and networking role on experience in a hardware and networking roleProfessional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or a related certification .
