About The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a growing clinical team that provides full-spectrum women’s health services, including antenatal and postnatal care, minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery and labour & delivery management. This is an on-site role focused on delivering evidence-based clinical care, surgical excellence, and compassionate patient counselling in a high-volume hospital setting.Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care across OPD, labour ward and postnatal units, ensuring high standards of clinical governance and documentation.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, perform deliveries (NVD and LSCS) and lead emergency obstetric interventions when required.
- Plan and perform gynaecologic surgeries including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures with emphasis on minimally invasive techniques and perioperative safety.
- Interpret obstetric imaging (transvaginal/transabdominal ultrasound) and fetal monitoring to guide clinical decision-making and escalate care appropriately.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with neonatology, anaesthesia and nursing teams; participate in case reviews, morbidity & mortality meetings and clinical audits.
- Educate and counsel patients on family planning, antenatal risk reduction, postnatal care and long-term gynaecologic health; contribute to quality improvement and training initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with DGO / MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- Valid registration with State Medical Council / National Medical Registry
- Proven experience managing antenatal care, normal vaginal deliveries and Cesarean deliveries in a hospital setting
- Competence in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic gynaecologic procedures and perioperative management
- Experience with obstetric imaging and electronic fetal monitoring
- Familiarity with emergency obstetric protocols, maternal resuscitation and postpartum haemorrhage management
Preferred
- Fellowship or training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Minimal Access Surgery or related subspecialty
- Experience in managing high-volume tertiary care labour wards and NICU liaison
- Engagement in clinical audits, publications or teaching roles
