Group Conference & Events Sales Executive

As an individual working with the Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and management of the Departments budget. In addition, your role will involve selling to new, existing, and prospective customers by considering the goals outlined in the sales strategy and negotiating the optimum rate for the benefit of the business. You will also play a crucial part in enhancing the sales team's productivity by contacting customers to schedule appointments and ensuring that all Sales Representatives have access to high-quality, up-to-date support material. Key Responsibilities: - Handle urgent calls, emails, and messages in the absence of sales representatives, addressing customer queries, updating them on delays, coordinating delivery dates, and scheduling marketing events. - Develop and maintain filing systems to keep sales records, prepare reports, and provide financial information to the finance department. - Assess sales and marketing data, as well as assist in evaluating sales and marketing activities. - Execute advertising/creative briefs promptly and effectively. - Monitor local competitors, compare their operations with your own, and stay informed about trends, systems, practices, and equipment in the audiovisual industry through trade literature, hotel shows, and site visits. - Provide guidance on and conduct market research, implementing directives from the Director of Sales and Marketing and Regional Managers.
