The Centre opened to the public with the Jio World Convention Centre and the Fountain of Joy at Dhirubhai Ambani Square in early 2022. The Jio World Centre is strategically located in Mumbais vibrant business and cultural hub of Bandra Kurla Complex. This centre has been developed with an international design vocabulary, while honoring the culture and spirit of India.
Job Purpose
Manager - Design (Graphic Design / Branding) leads the creative and visual development of brand communication across print, digital, and environmental platforms. This role blends strategic design thinking with hands-on creative direction, ensuring all visual outputs consistently reflect the brands identity, values, and positioning.This role is responsible for driving design projects from concept to production, guiding and supporting the design team, managing multiple projects and timelines, and maintaining the highest standards of visual storytelling, craftsmanship, and brand coherence.
Job Accountabilities
Creative and Brand Direction
- Lead the development and execution of brand identity systems, visual languages, and design strategies.
- Translate brand positioning and marketing objectives into compelling visual expressions.
- Design and oversee all creative output including campaigns, packaging, social media, presentations, and marketing collaterals.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual communication channels.
- Partner with marketing, strategy, and content teams to build cohesive brand narratives.
Project and Process Management
- Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple design projects with clear timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (e.g., printers, photographers, agencies).
- Maintain quality control from concept through production.
- Develop and streamline workflows for efficient creative execution.
Design Systems and Brand Governance
- Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines.
- Ensure alignment of all internal and external design assets with brand standards.
- Oversee updates and evolution of visual identity as the brand grows.
Research and Innovation
- Stay informed about design, branding, and cultural trends.
- Integrate new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance creative output.
- Benchmark competitors and global best practices to elevate brand presentation.
Competencies & Skills
- Strong conceptual and strategic thinking in brand design.
- Expertise in visual identity systems, typography, color, layout, and composition.
- Excellent command of design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Aftereffects), Figma, or equivalent.
- Experience with production processes (print, digital, packaging, OOH).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance creative excellence with practical business needs and brand goals.
- Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Flexibly to changing priorities, trends, and feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelors/masters degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior/ team management role.
- Proven experience developing and managing brand design.
- Agency or in-house brand team experience is preferred.
- Prior brand design experience in Luxury Retail, Infrastructure, Hospitality, Food & Beverages, FMCG and Entertainment sectors is highly suitable.
