Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Government Relations Officer. The Government Relations Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with various government entities, facilitating communication between Corp Crunch and local governments, analyzing policy changes, and advocating on behalf of the organization to the public sector. Daily tasks include liaising with government representatives, drafting policy reports, and participating in public forums and meetings. Job Title: Government Relations Officer – OOH Media Partnerships Location: India (Preferred cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore; open to travel) Job Type: Full-time Experience: 8+ years in government relations, public affairs, or similar roles Industry: Media / Advertising / Government Relations Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Government Relations Officer to spearhead our strategic efforts in transforming government infrastructure and spaces into impactful Out-of-Home (OOH) e-communication media advertising platforms. This role demands an individual with deep networks across central, state, and local government bodies in India, as well as strong familiarity with regional languages and cultural nuances. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in building long-term partnerships with government agencies, securing permissions, and aligning communication objectives with public outreach goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Outreach: Identify and approach relevant government departments, municipal bodies, PSUs, and urban development agencies for outdoor media collaboration opportunities. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with government officials, administrative leaders, and influencers at central, state, and local levels. Opportunity Conversion: Negotiate and secure permissions and contracts to use government-owned assets (e.g., bus shelters, public parks, transit systems, digital boards) for OOH e-communication advertising. Proposal Development: Prepare government-compliant proposals and presentations that demonstrate mutual value and align with public messaging and outreach campaigns. Compliance & Advocacy: Ensure all advertising projects meet regulatory guidelines, and proactively manage any licensing, legal, or bureaucratic issues. Linguistic and Cultural Fluency: Communicate effectively in multiple Indian vernaculars to navigate regional sensitivities and build trust across diverse geographies. Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal sales, legal, and creative teams to deliver customized solutions that serve both government objectives and brand goals. Policy Monitoring: Stay updated on government policies and urban development initiatives that may impact or benefit OOH advertising prospects. Key Requirements: Proven track record (8+ years) in government liaison, business development in public sector projects, or similar roles. Deep-rooted network and existing relationships with key stakeholders across government bodies and ministries. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, Hindi , and multiple regional/vernacular Indian languages (e.g., Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, etc.). Strong understanding of Indian bureaucratic structures , urban planning, and public-private partnerships. Experience in OOH media , advertising , or public communication campaigns is a strong advantage. Ability to travel extensively across India as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, Communications, or related field. Background in public-private partnership projects, urban branding, or Smart Cities initiatives.
