Summary:
As a Telecom Networks Consultant in Accentures Strategy & Consulting Global Network (S&C GN) you will work with leading telecom clients to drive transformation across wireline, wireless, 5G, OSS, and cloud domains. Your role will span across network planning, deployment, operations, service fulfillment, service assurance, and inventory management. You will design network operating models, optimize processes, and enable AI and automation use cases while supporting program management, business analysis, and value realization to help clients modernize networks, improve efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end delivery of Network consulting engagements across Wireline FTTx, OSS, and Private 5G Network domains.Engage with client stakeholders to conduct workshops and interviews for requirement gathering and alignment to conduct capability maturity assessmentsConduct As-Is process assessments and design To-Be process models, process improvements, process adoption etc, using industry-standard frameworks such as eTOM, ITIL, and TM Forum.Translate business needs into process flows, functional specifications, and user stories.Work closely with technical teams to define solution blueprints, identify automation opportunities, and develop transformation roadmapsAnalyze and optimize telecom processes such as service fulfillment, service assurance, inventory management, field force automation, and customer experience.Develop business cases, value driver trees, and performance KPIs aligned to transformation goals.Create high-quality client deliverables such as consulting documents, operating models, process designs, and actionable recommendations.Support PMO to ensure structured governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolution. preparing dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive presentations for stakeholder communication in any consulting programsDefine and design Target Operating Models (TOM) aligned to business strategy, covering process, people, technology, and governance layers, facilitate stakeholder alignment and roadmap development for execution.Contribute to the setup and execution of the Value Realization function, including development of value frameworks, value architecting, benefit tracking mechanisms, KPI monitoring, and reporting dashboards including change management & training.Support business development initiatives, including RFP/RFI responses, Go to market (GTM) activities, proposal creation, and development of consulting assets and methodologies.Drive thought leadership by contributing to white papers, Points of View (POVs), and industry-focused research.
Consulting Skills Required:
Must-Have Experience in one or more:Network planning, rollout planning, and operations across FTTx, OSS, and B2B/B2C environmentsMobile Private Networks (MPN) including 5G/LTE, RAN, Core, SD-WAN, WiFi6, and Edge/Cloud deployment modelsOSS transformation in areas such as Service Assurance, Service Fulfillment, Inventory Management, and NOC/SOC operations, Autonomous OperationsValue Realization Office (VRO) including value architecting, business case development, benefit tracking, and change managementProcess transformation covering process design, improvement initiatives, adoption strategies, and target operating model (TOM) developmentHands-on experience with ITSM and OSS tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Nokia NetAct, BMC Remedy, Netcool, and Blue PlanetFamiliarity with telecom and IT standards and frameworks such as 3GPP, ETSI, O-RAN, and TM Forum (eTOM, SID, TAM)Agile delivery experience, including working in sprints, backlog grooming, and user story creation using tools like Confluence and Jira
Good to Have skills:
Ability to visualize and document As-Is / To-Be processes using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.ioProficiency in Agile & Scrum delivery methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectivesExperience in data visualization and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platformsUnderstanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in network operations, predictive maintenance, and automationExposure to data lake architectures, data pipeline design, and integration across telemetry and OSS/BSS systems
Additional Information: Client-facing experience in a global consulting or service delivery environment is mandatory.Cross-cultural competence with ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Certifications such as ITIL, eTOM, SID, TAM, CBAP are preferred.Experience in authoring consulting assets or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
