Role Summary
With over 25 years of establishment, WSP s Global Capability Centre (GCC) has become a strategic asset. To help strengthen the GCC value, we are seeking a Global Advisory Lead to shape and drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and people engagement of WSP s Global Advisory function across the GCC. This is Director level position, requiring a seasoned leader with 15+ years of experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 or leading management consultancy environment.
In this full-time role, the Global Advisory Lead will spearhead the development and integration of over 500 Advisory professionals across multiple GCC locations including India, Colombia, Mexico, Manila, and Romania ensuring alignment, cohesion, and high-performance delivery across WSP s global Advisory network.
Partnering closely with the Global Director, Advisory and regional leadership, this role will establish and implement the optimal GCC Advisory operating model, balancing centralized and regional capabilities, and drive measurable business outcomes. The position also entails designing a strong employee value proposition, fostering engagement, and developing recognition and reward mechanisms to attract and retain world-class talent.
As a strategic influencer and people-centric leader, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in building centres of excellence (e.g., Economics Advisory, Digital Advisory), driving digital enablement initiatives, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration across regions.
The mission is clear: to strengthen the GCC s role as a global enabler of Advisory excellence, ensure sustainable growth, and enhance WSP s competitive advantage through integration, innovation, and people empowerment. This includes:
  • Strategic Alignment & Partnership:

    Build trusted relationships with global and regional leaders to ensure alignment of priorities and effective execution of the Global Advisory GCC strategy.
  • Transformation & Capability Development:

    Lead the GCC Advisory team through transformational change, strengthening delivery capability, integration, and overall performance across regions.
  • Growth & Opportunity Enablement:

    Identify and translate market and business insights into scalable initiatives that drive growth, enhance utilization, and expand the GCC s strategic value.
  • Data-Driven Strategy & Performance:

    Develop evidence-based strategies and benchmarking frameworks to optimize efficiency, resource allocation, and alignment with global best practices.
  • Brand & Visibility:

    Strengthen the profile of the Global Advisory GCC through strategic communications, internal engagement, and external positioning.
  • This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the organization not just by managing complexity, but by creating clarity, driving action, and enabling progress across borders.
  • By working closely with key stakeholders, the Global Advisory Lead ensures that the GCC is positioned as a strategic enabler and growth partner, driving collaboration, market expansion, and business impact across geographies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the existing 500+ Advisory team across multiple GCC sites (India, Colombia, Mexico, Manila, and Romania), ensuring alignment, capability development, and consistent delivery standards.
  • Drive Advisory team growth across the GCC by building trusted relationships with Global and Regional Advisory Leaders, ensuring all regions actively build integrated and high-performing teams.
  • Develop and implement the GCC Global Advisory operating model in partnership with the Global Director, defining the balance between centralized and decentralized teams, and tracking progress against commercial KPIs.
  • Involvement in executive-level advisory assignments on growth, market expansion, and transformation contributing strategic insights to senior leadership and client-facing initiatives.
  • Engage with other GCC functional leaders to influence and align critical cross-functional strategic decisions and ensure organizational coherence.
  • Design and implement a new Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in collaboration with the GCC HR Lead, including recognition, reward mechanisms, and engagement strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and maintain a global network of ambassadors to advocate for GCC initiatives, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration across WSP regions.
  • Create strategic campaigns that tell GCC success stories and strengthen emotional connection internally and externally, raising the visibility and reputation of the Global Advisory GCC.
  • Prepare leadership storylines, reports, and communication content to support global alignment, performance tracking, and executive decision-making.
  • Drive the creation of Centres of Excellence within the GCC (e.g., Economics Advisory, Digital Advisory), setting up operating platforms that promote innovation and best practices.
  • Conduct benchmarking assessments on how Big 4 and other consultancies utilize GCC models, leveraging insights to enhance WSP s competitive positioning.
  • Actively identify opportunities for digital enablement across the Advisory function (e.g., proposal automation, digital delivery models) to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Promote continuous improvement and collaboration between regions and GCC teams through structured engagement, team interactions, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Global MarComs to deliver impactful marketing and communication initiatives that elevate the GCC Advisory brand globally.
  • Be sufficiently mobile to visit GCC offices, actively support teams, conduct engagement sessions, and lead team building and development initiatives .

Qualifications
  • Relevant academic qualification, including a Postgraduate or Honours Degree, Bachelor of Science, MBA, or equivalent Diploma in Business, Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in business strategy, operations, consulting, or leadership roles within a professional services or advisory environment.
  • Proven record of delivering strategic and operational outcomes across complex, multi-region organizations.
  • Experience in leading large, distributed teams, ideally across global capability centres or shared service environments.
  • Background with Big 4 or top-tier management consultancy is highly desirable, with demonstrated exposure to transformation, benchmarking, or advisory excellence.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with ability to manage budgets, track KPIs, and drive performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, including influencing senior executives, managing cross-functional relationships, and aligning diverse priorities.
  • Exposure to digital enablement and innovation programs, particularly in enhancing service delivery or operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategic insights and influence decision-making at executive level.
  • Flexibility and mobility, with capacity to travel across GCC and regional offices to engage with teams and stakeholders directly.
