1. Job Title: Geotechnical Design Engineer – Temporary works at Excavated stages.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and analysis of temporary and permanent earth retention and excavation support systems. This role requires a strong understanding of soil-structure interaction and ground behaviour under complex construction conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of sheeting and shoring systems for deep excavations and structural stability.
• Develop earth retention systems including:
• Soldier beam and lagging
• Secant pile walls
• Tangent pile walls
• Sheet pile walls
• Shotcrete systems with soil nails or rock bolts
• Tie-backs (earth anchors)
• Underpinning of existing structures
• Prepare design drawings, technical reports, and calculation packages to support construction and permitting.
• Evaluate geotechnical data, soil investigation reports, and laboratory test results to inform design decisions.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure constructability and cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AASHTO, ACI, AISC, FHWA, local building codes).
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to ground movement, adjacent structure stability, and excavation safety.

· Candidate should be fully conversant with international design standards and codes viz. - American, UK, Eurocode, Australia etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in geotechnical design, specifically related to earth retention and support systems.
• Proficiency in geotechnical design software e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5, WALLAP, DYWIDAG, LPILE, SLIDE, etc.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D knowledge will be of added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working in urban construction or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing and site-specific challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
