Position: Business Development Leader (General Manager - Sales)

We are looking for a motivated senior business leader to join our fast-growing dairy technology company, establishing market leadership. You will collaborate with the product team to ensure a perfect fit in the market and drive B2B sales. Utilise your expertise to engage clients, demonstrate how our product solves their pain points, and enhance productivity. Gain insight into end-to-end business decision-making while working closely with top management. Proactively convert leads, convert sales, and establish a strong pipeline by contacting potential clients and opening new opportunities.

What you are expected to do:

  • Hunt and create opportunities along with the Inside Sales team, actively seeking out new customers and fostering relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Achieve revenue targets by successfully closing deals and expanding the customer base.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction to drive customer retention and repeat business.
  • Act as a liaison between our company and government authorities, advocating for the use of our pioneering products in the dairy value chain and driving revenue growth through government contracts and partnerships. Prompt has a reputation for launching new products every year.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure a perfect fit between our product offerings and the needs of the market. Provide valuable insights to influence product development decisions.
  • Own and drive the B2B sales pipeline, targeting C-level executives. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to convert leads, convert prospects, and achieve sales targets.
  • Engage with clients, understanding their pain points and business challenges. Showcase the value proposition of our product and how it can create value for the dairies and farmers alike.

Qualification and Experience:

  • 12+ Years of experience with at least 3 years of relevant Agri-Tech/Dairy-Tech domain or equipment sales experience in and around the dairy supply chain.
  • Proven Track Record of Creating Business Opportunities and achieving revenue targets year on year.
  • Sound knowledge of the dairy market functioning and supply chain
  • One who takes ownership and initiatives, is collaborative & open to feedback.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ask the right questions and use the data to make decisions.
  • Communication skills: Business-aligned communication skills with a knack for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Someone who is a go-getter but takes the team along and puts Prompt at the forefront of all decision-making.
  • Is passionate about solving problems using technology and percolating its usage and adoption.
  • Is a leader and nurtures a team to drive growth and results.
  • Pan-India business/sales experience will be a cherry on the cake
