Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Retail Leasing Head

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing Strategy:
Develop and implement leasing plans in line with the malls positioning, commercial goals, and retail trends.
Tenant Acquisition:
Identify, approach, and secure national and regional retail brands that align with the malls target customer base and tenant mix strategy.
Lease Negotiation:
Lead end-to-end lease negotiations including commercials, lease terms, renewals, and documentation.
Market Research & Trends:
Monitor market dynamics, competitor malls, and emerging retail categories to recommend tenant mix adjustments.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, brokers, and brand representatives to ensure long-term partnerships.
Revenue Optimization:
Ensure optimal space utilization and rental yields through strategic leasing and re-leasing of spaces.
Coordination:
Work closely with legal, operations, design, and fit-out teams to ensure smooth onboarding and timely store openings.
Reporting:
Provide regular reports to management on occupancy status, pipeline, market feedback, and rental performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA preferred)
10+ years of experience in retail leasing, preferably in shopping malls or retail real estate
Strong understanding of retail categories, leasing laws, and mall dynamics
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
Strong industry network across retail brands and property consultants
Ability to think strategically while managing operational detail
