Preferred candidate profile

The incumbent must be B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Production/ Chemical from reputed College, Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain would be added advantage. Must have15 to 20 years of experience in Purchase / Supply Chain in domain of Chemical, Cement, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Steel, Power, Metal industry background.

Role & responsibilities

This position is accountable for on time procurement and sourcing of materials of right quality, quantity at optimum cost with optimum inventory levels at Plant locations. Operate with proper system and processes to contribute towards Business efficiency drives for maximizing revenue through continuous improvement and innovative initiatives.

• Preparing Budget for procurement and s

  ourcing materials at optimum cost.

• Identifying and developing potential suppliers for achieving

  cost effective purchases of Project and Revenue related material, Spares, Capital Goods and Consumables.

  Development of alternative and/or additional sources to increase competitiveness and availability of materials.
• Reduction of Inventory Holding Cost through Checking of Requisitions, Utilization of Non-Moving & Slow-Moving Items, shifting towards Vendor Managed Inventory
• Contract creation, commercial and legal workflow management for contract terms review and capex contracts
• Analysis of vendor performance, New vendor development, Price Negotiation
• Compliance with Import/Export regulations/ Custom regulations
• Overseeing Material Delivery and Payment
• Supply chain management , Logistics
• Establishing developing and implementing processes and systems for effective procurement across all the Plants, investigate opportunities and confronting obstacles for improvement.
