Candidate should have worked with EPC companies and must have knowledge of best industry practices and latest trends. Stakeholder Support Work closely with stakeholders & team to ensure supply of goods and services meet needs with the best possible value and consistency. Proactively communicate with stakeholders related to their required inputs for order creation and management. Procurement Activities: Review of PR documents, floating RFQs to relevant vendors, arrange technical evaluation of submitted offers from Engineering department, preparation of commercial comparative, negotiations, PO and WO placement. Price reduction through cost analysis and price benchmarking. Post order PO management and delivery follow-up. Vendor development and Management. Champion safety, quality, delivery, and cost with vendors to ensure requirements are met on a consistent basis. Role & responsibilities 1. Design Development: Prepare and review mechanical designs, layout drawings, and 3D models using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.). Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API, IS), and customer requirements. 2. Engineering Calculations: Perform engineering calculations for stress analysis, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical integrity. Conduct sizing and selection of mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, compressors, etc.). 3. Review & Coordination: Review vendor documents and drawings for equipment and packages. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (electrical, instrumentation, civil, piping) for integrated design. Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements. 4. Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables such as: Equipment datasheets Technical specifications Bill of Materials (BOM) Design Basis Reports Material Take-Offs (MTO) Participate in design reviews (P&ID, 3D model, HAZOP, etc.) 5. Support to Procurement & Construction: Provide technical input for procurement activities: equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and TQ resolution.
