Job Title: General Manager – Operations

Department: Operations / Projects

Location: Bhiwandi

Reporting To: CEO

Job Summary

The General Manager – Operations will be responsible for end-to-end operations management including project planning, execution, production coordination, supply chain management, quality control and client delivery. This role ensures smooth alignment between Design, Production, Site Execution and Procurement teams, enabling timely delivery of interior projects with high-quality standards and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Operational & Project Management

  • Lead overall project execution for multiple interior projects (retail/corporate/residential).
  • Plan, monitor and ensure work progress as per timeline, BOQ & approved drawings.
  • Implement SOPs for production, site installation and material flow.
  • Resolve site-level escalations and ensure execution feasibility.

2. Team Management & Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate with Design, Project, Production, Procurement and Quality teams.
  • Ensure manpower planning and contractor/vendor allocation for different sites.
  • Provide leadership to Project Managers / Site Engineers / Supervisors.

3. Production & Supply Chain Oversight

  • Review factory/production schedules and capacity utilization.
  • Monitor dispatch planning, material readiness and inventory control.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials without delays.

4. Client Management & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct review meetings with key clients / PMC.
  • Ensure brand guidelines, finishing standards and design intent are maintained.
  • Monitor snag work, rectification, and handover quality.

5. Budgeting & Process Improvement

  • Track project costing, resource utilization and profitability.
  • Reduce wastage, rework and delays through process streamlining.
  • Improve cross-functional coordination systems and reporting structure.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong leadership & team management skills.
  • Deep understanding of interior fit-out lifecycle (Design → Production → Installation).
  • Knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing & site execution.
  • Strong execution planning, resource allocation & problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication & client handling capabilities.
  • Ability to work on fast-track, multi-site projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Interior / Architecture (preferred).
  • MBA (Operations / Project Management) is an added advantage.
  • 10–18 years of experience in Interior Fit-out / Retail / Modular Furniture Industry.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a senior operations role.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience working with premium retail / corporate interior projects.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management & execution quality parameters.
  • Familiar with MIS reporting / project dashboards / monitoring tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage strict deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
