ABOUT CRAFTELS

Craftels is a boutique hospitality brand built on sustainability, handcrafted design, and people-first hospitality. Our South Goa properties are calm, nature-led spaces where guest experience, discipline, and care matter deeply.

We are looking for a locally based, hands-on General Manager who understands Goa, hospitality operations, and team leadership.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The General Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the property, ensuring smooth daily operations, strong guest experience, disciplined teams, and adherence to Craftels standards.

This is a ground-level, ownership role, not a desk-only position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Operations & Property Management
Oversee day-to-day operations across:

• Front office
• Housekeeping
• Maintenance
• F&B (where applicable)
• Ensure SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety protocols are followed consistently
• Maintain property upkeep, cleanliness, and functionality

2️ Guest Experience

• Ensure guests feel welcomed, cared for, and heard
• Handle guest escalations calmly and professionally
• Monitor guest feedback and take corrective action
• Set the tone for warm, respectful hospitality

3️ Team Management

• Supervise and guide on-ground staff
• Ensure discipline, punctuality, grooming, and behaviour standards
• Train new team members and volunteers
• Act as a problem-solver and leader for the team

4️ Reporting & Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the Founder and central operations team
• Share daily/weekly updates on:
• Occupancy
• Guest feedback
• Staff issues
• Operational challenges
• Ensure clear communication between departments

5️ Cost & Vendor Control

• Coordinate with local vendors and service providers
• Monitor basic expenses and avoid wastage
• Ensure responsible use of resources

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Candidate based in Goa (South Goa preferred)
• Prior experience in:
• Hospitality
• Resort / homestay / hotel operations
• Strong leadership and people-handling skills
• Calm under pressure, especially during peak season
• Honest, disciplined, and accountable

Languages: English & Hindi required (Konkani preferred)
