Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager, located in Guwahati, Assam. The General Manager will oversee daily hotel and resort operations, ensuring the highest standards in guest experience, property maintenance, and team performance. Responsibilities include managing budgets, developing and implementing operational strategies, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and service regulations. The role also involves fostering a positive workplace culture, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving sustainable growth and guest satisfaction.


  • Operations Management:

     Oversee all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Financial Management:

     Create and manage the annual budget, monitor expenses, and develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Staff Leadership and Development:

     Hire, train, and manage staff at all levels. This includes conducting performance evaluations, scheduling, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strategic Planning:

     Develop and implement business strategies and set short- and long-term goals aligned with the hotel's mission and values.
  • Guest Relations:

     Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by handling complaints, resolving issues, and maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Marketing and Sales:

     Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel, analyze sales figures, and set sales targets.
  • Compliance:

     Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant laws, health and safety regulations, and internal policies. 



Qualifications

  • Experience in Hospitality Management, including leadership, operational strategy, and team supervision
  • Strong skills in Financial Management, Budgeting, and Profitability Analysis
  • Exceptional Customer Service, Communication, and Problem-Solving skills
  • Knowledge of Facility Management, Guest Relations, and Quality Assurance in the hospitality industry
  • Understanding of Eco-Conscious Practices and Sustainability in the hospitality sector
  • Proven ability to promote local culture and traditions as a unique value proposition for guests
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to adjust to dynamic operational demands
  • Minimum experience of 12 years in the Hospitality Industry and a minimum experience of 5 years as a General Manager in the hospitality industry
