Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Engineer at The Greenwood Hotels & Resorts, located in Assam. The Chief Engineer will oversee daily maintenance and engineering operations of hotel facilities, ensuring smooth functioning of all equipment and building systems. Responsibilities include managing three properties, supervising maintenance staff, scheduling repairs, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing energy-efficient solutions. The individual will also play a key role in maintaining safety standards and delivering a high-quality guest experience by supporting the property's comfort and functionality.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility management, maintenance operations, and building systems management
• Proficiency in handling electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Strong leadership, team management, and training skills
• Ability to manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure workflow efficiency
• Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and preventative maintenance
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; professional certifications are advantageous
• Experience in the hospitality industry or similar maintenance roles is a plus
• Experience in the industry for a min of 7 years
