About Our Client This is a leadership role for a Colour Business Head responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for colour masterbatches, driving business growth, and providing technical support to customers across the plastics and polymer industries in India. The role requires a strong technical and commercial background with extensive travel. Job Description As the Colour Business Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the marketing and sales strategies for our client's colour Masterbatch products across India. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for colour Masterbatch products. Identifying key market trends, understanding evolving customer needs, and exploring new business opportunities within the plastics and polymer sectors. Collaborating closely with the Research & Development (R&D) and production teams to facilitate the development of tailored colour solutions for clients. Providing strong technical support and expertise to the sales team to effectively convert leads and acquire new customers. Contributing to the achievement of sales budgets and targets. Actively developing new customer relationships and strategically re-engaging with dormant accounts. Cultivating OEM business opportunities and delivering impactful product presentations, technical workshops, and comprehensive customer training programs. Providing timely and effective on-site and remote technical assistance for product trials, troubleshooting, and application support. Guiding customers in critical areas such as accurate colour matching, optimal pigment selection, and efficient processing optimization. Developing and promoting customer-centric solutions that directly address their specific processing requirements and end-use application needs. Working in close partnership with the R&D team to pioneer the development of innovative colour Masterbatches that proactively address evolving industry demands. Conducting thorough benchmarking analysis of competitor products and providing insightful recommendations for product enhancements to achieve market differentiation. Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory compliance standards (REACH, RoHS, FDA, etc.) and actively contributing to sustainability initiatives. Extensive travel across India is required, with a focus on key regions including South, West, North, Central, and East. Reporting directly to the AVP Marketing. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation coupled with proven commercial acumen in the colour masterbatch or pigment selling space. You will have: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Plastics Engineering (MBA in Marketing preferred). A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in colour masterbatch selling or pigment selling, with a strong preference for direct pigment knowledge. Comprehensive knowledge of polymer processing techniques, pigment dispersion methodologies, and masterbatch formulation principles. A solid understanding of the rigid and flexible packaging industries and their specific material requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills. Familiarity with plastic processing methods including Injection Molding, Extrusion, Blow Molding, and Roto Molding will be a significant advantage. Proficiency in basic MS Office applications and CRM systems, along with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills. A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong drive for achieving business objectives. The willingness and ability to travel extensively across India.
