Game Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Game Designer to join our team at Virtualize Technologies. In this role, you will transform high-level game concepts into fun, polished, and engaging gameplay experiences across casual, hypercasual, and AR/VR platforms. You will collaborate with artists, developers, and producers to craft mechanics, systems, and levels that resonate with global audiences and help us shape the future of mobile and immersive gaming.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document core mechanics, game loops, systems, and monetization strategies.
• Build balanced and engaging levels, puzzles, and challenges that drive retention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and refine gameplay in-engine.
• Analyze player data, playtests, and feedback to iterate on designs.
• Ensure gameplay aligns with player psychology, narrative tone, and fun factor.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new concepts, mechanics, and features.
• Maintain clear design documentation (GDDs, wireframes, specs, flowcharts).
• Support creative ad strategies and help design marketable hooks for games.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in game design (casual, hypercasual, puzzle, or AR/VR preferred).
• Strong understanding of game design principles, pacing, and user engagement.
• Ability to ideate mechanics and translate them into playable, scalable designs.
• Experience in level design, puzzle design, or game economy balancing.
• Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Canva, Excel/Google Sheets, Firebase, Amplitude.
• Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, Notion, and Google Docs for documentation & tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Unity or similar game engines.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles in game design.
• Understanding of monetization models (F2P, premium, hybrid).
• Basic scripting knowledge (C#, Blueprints, or visual scripting).
• Passion for hybrid casual, puzzle, and hypercasual genres.

Job Type: Full-time
