Job Title: Functional Tester

Job Summary:

Functional Tester

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Execute manual test cases, log defects, and track them through resolution.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Validate bug fixes and ensure that changes do not introduce new defects.
Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide QA estimates for sprint planning.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and business expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in functional/manual testing.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
Good understanding of web and mobile application testing.
Ability to write clear and concise test cases and defect reports.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
