As a Fullstack Engineer on the HomewiseDocs platform, you will play a role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-quality web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team including product managers, designers, and engineers—both domestic and international—to implement features from concept to deployment. Your responsibilities will span both frontend and backend development, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, performance, and maintainability. You’ll also contribute to improving development practices and driving technical excellence across the team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex problems in a customer-facing application.
Responsibilities:Serve as a subject matter expert in some areas of the problem domain
Be a positive influence on the team by promoting a culture of innovation, nurturing new ideas, and growing and supporting engineers through mentorship.
Collaborate closely with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions that are robust and maintainable.
Be a highly productive hands-on contributor building new features and enhancing existing functionality within the HomeWiseDoc’s platform.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring reliability and performance in production environments.
Work with the technical leads and other stakeholders to develop project plans and participate in resource planning.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of back office services and customer-facing features.
4+ years of experience in developing customer-facing software with responsibilities ranging from project planning to successful delivery of key features
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES2025)
Extensive experience with Node.js, Express, and GraphQL
Skilled in React, Apollo, responsive UI development, and adherence to accessibility standards
Some familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Working knowledge of Docker for containerization and development workflows
Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
Experience with platform migrations, including transitioning from legacy monolithic applications (e.g., Java) to modern, modular architectures using technologies like React and Node.js
Solid understanding of web application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and mitigation of common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF, SQL injection).
Hands-on experience consuming REST web services and APIs
Experience with modern tools such as NPM, Vite
Experience with testing tools such as Jest and Cypress
