As a Freight Manager (Ocean Freight) at Eximple, you will be responsible for leading the ocean freight operations and commercial strategy. Your main tasks will include managing procurement and negotiation of ocean freight rates, driving freight sales, optimizing freight margins, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and tracking market trends to maintain a competitive edge. Key Responsibilities: - Manage procurement and negotiation of ocean freight rates with carriers and forwarders. - Drive freight sales by identifying, onboarding, and managing SME customers for export shipments. - Optimize freight margins and ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods. - Collaborate with operations, finance, and tech teams to deliver best-in-class export fulfillment. - Track market trends, capacity, and pricing to maintain a competitive edge. Requirements: - At least 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, or logistics sales/procurement. - Strong network of shipping lines and freight partners. - Proven track record in freight negotiation and account management. - Excellent communication, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
