Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven Sales Executive to join our Freight Forwarding & Logistics team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation in sea & air freight forwarding services.

This role is not operations-focused – we are seeking candidates with direct sales experience in logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities in Tamil Nadu & South India market for freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Import, Export).
  • Identify and acquire new clients, build a strong customer base.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through relationship management.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets in freight forwarding and CHA services.
  • Work closely with Operations & Documentation teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory: 5+ years in Freight Forwarding / CHA / Logistics Sales (Air/Sea)
Proven track record of client acquisition & revenue achievement
Strong network of importers/exporters, CHA agents, manufacturers, and traders in Tamil Nadu
Excellent negotiation & communication skills (English + Tamil)Ability to work independently and meet sales targets

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in companies like DHL, Schenker, K+N, Agility, CEVA, Kerry Indev, Jeena, Allcargo, or mid-sized freight forwarders.
  • Experience handling SME & corporate clients in Chennai/Ennore/Tuticorin belt.
  • Candidates from operations-only background will not be considered.
