Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Freelance Video Editor, located in Gurugram. The Video Editor will be responsible for video production, editing videos, color grading, and creating motion graphics. Tasks include collaborating with the creative team to develop visual content, executing high-quality video edits, and ensuring the final product aligns with the project’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Podcast Production & Editing

• Edit and enhance podcast episodes for clarity, pacing, and storytelling impact.
• Mix and master audio to professional quality standards.
• Collaborate with the team on scripting, show flow, and promotional snippets.
• Repurpose podcast content into short-form reels, clips, and teasers.

2. Video & Reels Editing

• Edit engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other video content that reflects WitWise’s tone and visual identity.
• Add captions, transitions, and sound effects to make content dynamic and shareable.
• Turn rough ideas into polished, high-quality outputs
• Work closely with the creative team to align edits with brand style and messaging.
• Ensure content is optimised for platform algorithms and audience retention.

3. Creative Ideation & Content Development

• Brainstorm fresh, visually compelling ideas for podcasts, reels, and campaigns.
• Stay updated with content trends, audio-visual storytelling techniques, and education-based social media formats.
• Support in planning shoots, managing media assets, and maintaining consistency in brand aesthetics.

• Strong sense of visual timing, narrative flow, and storytelling
• Understanding of aesthetics and design — you know how to make things look and feel good
• Writing skills that keep viewers engaged and make content memorable
• Someone proactive, creative, and fast to execute — you take initiative and bring ideas to life
• Keen interest in education, podcasting, and social media storytelling.
