Job Description

Our client, an American Foundation is looking to engage with a highly skilled Policy & Programme Support Consultant to support their team in Patna.


Key Responsibilities in mentioned areas:

Policy Advisory & Technical Support-

Provide analysis of policies, schemes, Cabinet notes, departmental proposals, and legislative matters and draft policy briefs, concept notes, strategy documents, and presentations for the Minister.

Identify best practices from other states and countries relevant to the department’s priorities.

Comprehensive review of existing health schemes and assessment of schemes currently in the pipeline.

Identification of gaps between policy design and on-ground implementation.

Strategic Advisory-

Advise on emerging sectoral trends, innovations, and technological solutions with providing inputs for long-term visioning, reforms, and transformative initiatives.

Conduct impact assessments and policy research on priority areas and support crisis management and rapid-response decision-making on urgent matters.

Programme Monitoring & Review-

Track progress of key government schemes and flagship initiatives.

Develop dashboards, status reports, and issue trackers for regular review by the Minister.

Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions for timely implementation.

Stakeholder Coordination-

Prepare briefing notes for meetings, conferences, and review sessions.

Support inter-departmental coordination on cross-cutting initiatives.

Document meeting minutes, action points, and ensure follow-up.

Communication & Public Engagement-

Prepare strategy for branding of Departmental positive work

Develop content for public announcements, official social media, and awareness campaigns as required with drafting speeches, messages, talking points, and communication material for the Minister.

Skills Required

  • Graduation / Post graduation from Indian Institute of Technology / Indian Institute of Management
  • Experience working with government systems (State or Central) preferred.
  • The role requires
