Role Overview


Founder’s Office / Chief of Staff

What You’ll Do


Strategic execution and founder leverage


  • Translate the founder’s priorities into clear projects, owners, and timelines. 
  • Prepare and follow through on founder meetings: briefs, agendas, notes, and concrete next steps. 
  • Drive critical cross-functional projects end-to-end, unblocking teams and ensuring deadlines are met. 


Ops, people, and problem radar


  • Spot issues early – across people, culture, or delivery – and surface them with options. 
  • Coordinate closely with product, engineering, GTM, and operations to keep everyone aligned on goals and trade-offs. 
  • Help enforce internal standards: documentation, meeting hygiene, and follow-through. 


Founder communications and external-facing work


  • Support the founder with decks, memos, and written communication for investors, partners, and key clients. 
  • Help prepare for board, investor, and strategic partner meetings (materials, data, talking points). 
  • Occasionally represent the founder in internal or external settings when appropriate. 


Company-building


  • Contribute to hiring decisions, especially for high-leverage roles across product, engineering, AI, and operations. 
  • Help shape and maintain our culture: ownership, bias for action, and mission alignment. 
  • Continuously improve how the company runs: better processes, better tools, fewer handoffs.

Qualifications


Must-have


  • 3–6 years of experience in some combination of: founder’s office, chief of staff, strategy, consulting, product, operations, or early-stage startup roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience owning complex, cross-functional projects with clear outcomes. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. 
  • High comfort with ambiguity and constant context switching. 
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills (can work with data, not just narratives). 


Nice-to-have


  • Experience in 

    B2B SaaS, AI/ML products, or mission-driven tech

  • Prior exposure to senior executives, founders, or boards. 
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Jira, Slack/Teams, and modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.). 


Working Style


  • High ownership, low drama. 
  • Comfortable with non-linear, global schedules (US–India coordination). 
  • Willing to go above and beyond when needed in a small, high-intensity team.
