About Aasraa Trust

Aasraa Trust was established in 2009 to work with society’s most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. Aasraa is not just a charity but a vehicle for empowerment through education, skills training, and nutrition, healthcare and shelter homes. Starting with street level mobilization, Aasraa uses a multi-faced approach that prepares children for mainstream education and transition to higher studies and skills training.

Aasraa is certified by National Institute of Open Schooling and works with the education department of Uttarakhand to improve the quality of education at 9-government school in Dehradun. Aasraa is also implementing a Girl Education Program in four girls Inter Collages in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Aasraa has built shelters for orphaned, abandoned, abused and special needs children.

Aasraa started 15 years ago with 35 children and it now supports over 11000 children from the streets and slums across 80 projects in Dehradun district.

Job Description

Role Profile: Food & Beverage Trainer cum Housekeeping Trainer

Purpose of the Job – To deliver high-quality vocational training to students in Food & Beverage Service and Housekeeping Operations, equipping them with practical skills, theoretical knowledge, grooming, and discipline required for the hospitality industry.

Objective of the role: To enable students to become job-ready professionals for careers in hotels, restaurants, resorts, banquets, and allied hospitality services through industry-standard training, assessments, and exposure.

Location of the role: Raipur – Tapovan, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Key Responsibilities

Food & Beverage Training

1. Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on F&B service techniques.

2. Train students in service styles: silver service, buffet service, gueridon service, banquet service, room service, and bar operations.

3. Demonstrate table setting, serving etiquette, order taking, billing procedures, and guest handling.

4. Facilitate hands-on practice in mock restaurants, bars, and training labs.

5. Develop lesson plans, training materials, and activities aligned with industry standards.

6. Conduct student assessments and maintain performance records.

7. Arrange industry exposure sessions, guest lectures, and visits.

Housekeeping Training

1. Conduct theory and practical sessions on housekeeping operations and cleaning standards.

2. Train students in bed making, room setup, bathroom cleaning, dusting, mopping, and laundry basics.

3. Demonstrate safe and effective use of tools, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.

4. Plan and supervise daily practical work and student rotations.

5. Maintain housekeeping labs, sample rooms, stock, and equipment safely.

6. Assess student performance and support weaker learners with additional practice.

General Responsibilities

1. Ensure discipline, grooming standards, and professional behaviour among students.

2. Maintain attendance, documentation, assessment data, and training reports.

3. Coordinate with the Skill Development / Program Team for training schedules and centre requirements.

Note: Additional smaller coordination-related tasks may arise based on the Trust’s requirements.

Education and Experience requirements

Education Qualifications · Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality

Core experience · 2–5 years of work experience in hotel industry — F&B service and/or Housekeeping

Preferable Knowledge/Experience· Prior teaching/training experience in hospitality is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of F&B operations, service standards, housekeeping procedures, equipment & hygiene

Competencies Required:

Technical competencies: Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS Office and Good knowledge of hotel software (PMS)

Behavioral competencies: Patience, empathy, discipline, communication proficiency, grooming, teamwork, and ability to handle diverse learners

Important Note: Although Food & Beverage and Housekeeping are two different disciplines, this role requires one professional who has strong hands-on experience in Food & Beverage service training and is also proficient in the implementation and training (or thorough working knowledge) of housekeeping operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
